Claims Mitigation and Resolution

We represent the interests of our clients to mitigate the risks inherent in the construction process and assist them in avoiding the costs associated with disputes and claims. As independent and objective consultants, we provide a multi-disciplined capability towards the resolution of claims with our in-house expertise in:

Claims Analysis. We evaluate the contract along with the plans and specifications as to performance and compliance with industry standards of practice. We define the issues and factually determine responsibility. We examine the overall claim as to its merit and risk to the client.

Scheduling. Using the critical path method, we analyze the causes of delay, comparing as-planned and as-built schedules. We examine productivity, acceleration, weather, and other issues associated with schedule and performance.

Cost. We identify, evaluate and quantify all direct and indirect costs to determine damages. This includes lost productivity, compensable delays, and the cost to complete the work followed by the determination as to whether the costs are reasonable, allowable and recoverable.

Strategy. We provide a number of strategic actions determined by our mission, the project requirements and/or the needs of the client. This includes resolving the claim, negotiations, settlement strategy, furnishing a professional report outlining our findings, expert witness testimony, or technical and objective consultation as-needed.
